Scattering of palmettes in the Empire style. This type of fabric was very widely used in what was considered to be economical fabrics between 1806 and 1812 for upholstery or for curtains. Many different types of scattered motifs can be used in this type of pattern. These fabrics were generally embellished with a border to give them a richer aspect.
