The colour
Discover the collection
This lampas, depicting exotic birds and mythical animals on its black background dates back to 1867, the year of the World Fair. This fabric shows the influence of the East and Far East, great sources of inspiration for designers during the Restoration and the Second Empire. Napoleon III décor copied previous styles with great extravagance. The designs also imitated the medieval, Renaissance (Henri II), Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI periods.
