Maison Leleu, a renowned design house since 1910, and the luxury fabric designer and manufacturer Lelièvre Paris since 1914 — two prominent French family-owned and century-old interior design companies united by shared values and expertise — are proud to launch RETROSPECTIVE, a collection of contemporary fabrics and wallpapers based on iconic designs from Maison Leleu’s archives and manufactured by Lelièvre Paris. The natural bond that has brought the two brands together has produced a range of unique and timeless statement designs for the home.

Achieved through painstaking research by the two brands, the collection defies expectations with a variety of unexpected motifs and patterns (Art Déco, wild fauna and flora, 50s style, etc.). Rétrospective includes a diverse choice of well-balanced textured fabrics available in a broad palette of subtle or assertive colours for the perfect match.

Maison Leleu’s archive designs have been completely reworked by the design team of Lelièvre Paris in collaboration with Maison Leleu.

The colours and proportions of Maison Leleu’s archive patterns have been entirely redesigned and reworked by Lelièvre Paris’s in-house creative studio in collaboration with Maison Leleu.

Guided by the expertise of Lelièvre Paris, the process involved meticulous research into the transposition and construction of archive patterns and careful consideration of material choices to give life to a large number of high-quality designs and ensure the collection’s overall consistency.

The Rétrospective collection consists of seven fabrics (four Jacquard weaves and three prints) available in several distinct colourways: one original, one neutral and a third one reflecting the two brands’ bold creativity. Completing the collection are five perfectly coordinated wallpapers echoing the aesthetics of the fabrics.

The textiles and wallpapers that make up this collection are manufactured within Europe through local supply chains.
